A wonderful stay in California

We had a wonderful stay at Carlsbad State Park.  The campground was on the cliffs above the beach.  The majority of the campground was dry camping.  Some sites had electrical and water.  The staff at this Park were very friendly; we will definitely return.

We enjoyed quiet walks on the beach.  It was off season, very few people.  We did encounter a 1 year old male seal.  The park rangers assured me it was healthy, and no need for a rescue.  Apparently male seals are kicked out of the colony at one year. 

As always, California doesn't disappoint with sunsets.

Ed and I got lost looking for the indoor boat show.  We ended up here.

The visit to Venice Beach was interesting.

The entertainment on the boardwalk was endless and interest to watch.  This is where you encounter all walks of life.

Caverns of Senora, Texas

After leaving Florida we headed west.  This female Peacock greeted us at the Visitors Centre.

We camped at the Caverns for 2 nights.  $20.00 per night with electrical and water.  This male welcomed us at the campsite.  The birds are use to humans (feeding them).

The tour was 1 hour 45 minutes.  The Caverns were very warm and humid, about 90F.  The tour guide was quite informative.  The formations in the cave were breathtaking.  Each area was different from the other.

The Butterfly Room.  This room was spectacular.  Apparently, during a tour someone snapped off a wing.  There is a cash reward for information of its where a bouts.

After leaving the Caverns we encountered this.  I 10 was closed for 2 days.

Ft Lauderdale...Bluewater Sailing School

Ed and I arrived in Ft. Lauderdale the day before our sailing lessons.

How rich is Florida?

Meet CJ our Captain, we were very happy to have him as our instructor.  He taught us so much; beyond the classroom.

Florida Keys

We parked at our favorite site at Knights Key.

My dear friend Diana and her husband Les visited us for 10 days.  We had to show them the Key West experience.

The airboat ride awaits.  The tour was well worth the price of the ticket.

Lakewood Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Ed and I stopped at this campground for a week.  This particular weekend was a fund raiser for the heart & stroke foundation.  There were hundreds of horses and riders.
