Forrest City, Iowa...

Ed and I spent some time in Forrest City at the Winnebago Factory.  We were having warranty work on the bus.

Out for a stroll in one of Iowa's State Parks.

Happy Hour at the factory.  We met wonderful people from all around the US.  It was fun exchanging stories.  Glad we are keeping in touch.

After Iowa, we drove to St Paul, Minnesota for work on the generator.  This is one of many beautiful parks in the Twin Cities.

The bike paths are endless, as well as the lakes.

This path took us around the lake.  This city did a lot of work to be bike friendly.

Red Cliff, Alberta

We had an enjoyable swim and visit with Diana & Les's neighbors, Gary and Leda.

Diana and the girls, Hanna and Alice.

Meet Charlie and Annie;  Diana's Labs.  Di is training them for search and rescue (Canadian Search Dog Association)

Diana has an arena for the dogs to train

They are amazing to watch.

That was my chair.

Charlie is forever climbing on objects.

Diana took us for a wagon ride.  This is our daughter Jen and Diana going for a ride with Nita.

Joanne, Rod and Diana.

Les, myself, Ed and Diana going for our ride.

Ed, Jen and Les.  It was great seeing Jen; she drove from Calgary to see us; 2 1.2 hour drive.

Charlie and Annie couldn't get enough of Jen while she visited.

Ed and Wendy in a serious horseshoe tournament with Les and Tannis.

The 4 of us after a cooling swim.  Charlie and Annie are never far away.

Les and Ed in another serious game.

We had a wonderful visit with Jennyfer in Calgary.

Angry summer skies in Calgary.  This storm was on the East side.  It did some hail damage to vehicles.

This is a photo of a farm with the system in the background.

The harvest has begun on the prairies.

Goodbye Diana; thank you to you and Les for a wonderful visit.  You are true friends.  We can't wait until your visit with us on the Florida Keys.  Boat drinks will be waiting.

Sheridan Lake, Hawthaway Lake, British Columbia

This was our first visit to Sheridan Lake.  Sheridan Lake is one of hundreds in the Cariboo Region.  Ed and I enjoyed fishing in the evening, Ed was skunked today; I was entertained by the musical Loons.

We spent many evenings fishing, the fish were not cooperating.  I enjoyed the sunsets.

The colors at sunset vary each night.  This spot was my favorite to take pictures, every evening had a new palate of colors.

Home sweet Home.....or not.  This is a weekend cottage on Sheridan Lake.

After an enjoyable stay at Sheridan, we moved on to Hathaway Lake, a short drive North of Sheridan Lake.  This small quaint resort (Moose Haven), was a wonderful welcome; with large sites and  spectacular views of Hathaway Lake.

This is one of many cabins available to rent from spring to fall.

The local heron entertained us daily, fishing and fighting with a resident fox.

Ed and I did not tire of this view from the bus.

Each evening was picture perfect.

I was always amazed at the reflections on the water.

I like this view of our bus from the water.

While driving in the back country, we startled this little guy.  We didn't see mom.

Drewry Lake.  This is one of many lakes to camp with smaller units.

The reflection on the water at Hathaway was amazing.  The canoe helps to define the shoreline.

This fox huted twice a day.  She proudly paraded in front of us with her catch.

Barkerville, B.C.

Driving North on highway 97 to the Cariboo

We camped at one of 3 Provincial Campgrounds 3km from Barkerville.

Barkerville Graveyard

Many died in their twenies and thirties.

The town

Staff dress in character.

Ed was curious as to what she was cooking.

The Pharmacy.

He was very funny.

They told the story of the Gold Rush and the mining.

The end result.  Many people still mine in this area.  If you are in the area; Barkerville is a must see.
