We left the ranch and drove to the town of Guerrero Negro, on the Pacific Ocean side of the Baja.
After leaving Guerrero Negro, we traveled east towards Mulege. The caravan stopped in San Ignacio to visit a Mission.
Many photo ops in this beautiful town.
At the town square a woman is making empenadas de carne. A pastry filled with seasoned beef and deep fried.
I wait patiently for my order to be cooked.

A blue heron perched on a log in the lagoon.
This is a conversation piece. It is beef, what it is used for, I'm not sure. It was hanging in the grocery store in town.
Another mountain range to cross before reaching Santa Rosalia on the Sea of Cortez.
The terrain changes from cactus to rugged hills.
We finally arrived at Santaspak on the Bahia de Concepcion; 12 miles south of Mulege.
A full moon appears from behind the mountain.
Sunrise on the Bahia.
We met some wonderful people from Washington. Many laughs were had the following weeks,
A lonely pelican perched on the rocks.
Beautiful reflections looking out to the Bahia de Concepcion.
Ed and I drove into Mulege. We stopped for fish tacos and a cervesa (beer). Taco stands are everywhere in Mexico.
Love the sign.
Ed, Dave and Terry went fishing. They caught trigger fish; they have teeth like the piranha.
Dave made ceveche, man it was good. Ed made sashimi, which was equally as tasty.
We spent 3 days at Santaspak. The last night was a pot luck at our site.
Dustin and Debbie having quiet time on the beach.
Jan 17th we headed south for Loretto, a fishing town on the Sea of Cortez.
