A view of the entrance to Daniels Bay. Survivor was filmed here.
Ed having a moment to admire One Fine Day.
Mantas frequented the bay.
Four to six boats would anchor. It was beautiful and peaceful.
Dan and Jilly arrived a few days after us.
The four of us went to shore to hike up to the waterfall. Ed and Dan paying the land owner $$ to pass through his land.
The foliage and grounds were beautiful.
Every view was like being in a park.
This is a local splitting coconuts, he gave us the history of the area and the bay. Tattoos are common in the South Pacific. Each tattoo tells a story. His wife invited us for a cold drink when we returned from the waterfall.
And we’re on our way.
Ancient statues everywhere, someone added a new piece to the statue.
Some of the views were unbelievably beauty.
I can’t imagine walking through this jungle.
Dan and Jilly were great travel buddies.
Crossing many creeks on the path. I wasn’t told of the fresh water eels until after the hike. Yuk.
Having the cold drink and mango ice cream. They had plenty of fruit for sale. Cheaper than the farmers markets.
I cleaned up. We stocked up on mangoes and limes.
