The morning of June 20th, we saw Tahiti. It’s always exciting finishing a leg.
New adventures are about to begin.
After resting, we toured around town. They roll up the sidewalks early.
Love the beautiful murals.
No lack of artistic talent.
Ed trying to translate.
Entertainment at the marina.
We would frequent the food trucks. They would set up nightly at 5:00pm. It was a short walk from the marina.
Entertainment at the marina quite frequently.
Local Puddle Jumpers prior to the Moorea Regatta.
It was a fun race until the wind died.
The fleet, Moorea was a few hours from Papeete.
The buffet at the rendezvous. I don’t eat goat, the cat under my table got my portion.
The anchorages were calm and beautiful.
There were hundreds of boats at the rendezvous.
A panorama view of the race.
Back in Papeete. I think this fellow does day tours.
This is a view of the water behind our boats.
Statues all over the parks.
Canada Day in Papeete, Tahiti.
Hiva is about to start. It’s a huge competition of dance and outrigger racing.
We went to the opening ceremonies. Amazing costumes and dance.
After the ceremony, Dan, Dan, Michelle, Ed and I went for pizza. We enjoyed their company while in Papeete.
Restaurants are busy in the evenings.
We headed back to Moorea before sailing to Huahine. Time is running out for us, we have to put the boat away, as our three month visa is closing.
Sitting on the deck and admiring the landscape was addicting.
