After a good night sleep and well rest we headed out to explore the island.

We met a wonderful couple from Turkey, Ebru& Nuri on Koza. They have the identical boat. They sailed from the Mediterranean Sea, through the Panama Canal to the Marqueses. Wow. They had us over for the famous Turkish coffee.

Ed went for a swim. I stayed on the rocks.(fresh water eels yuk)
The hike up and back was very hot and humid. But, we endured.

We were invited for lunch at this family’s home. It was an interesting meal.
This was the start of collecting fresh tropical fruit.
The days were full. Ed on the deck having a cold one.
We couldn’t get enough of the sunsets.
We decided to buddy boat with Koza. We we’re heading to Hiva Oa to register with the Gendarmes.
